Now I'll try again. Here is the USA our officials and newspeople tend to hold back on any personal information about the victims until after victims have been identified and next-of-kin notified. This is done out of respect for the victims and their families and not from a lack of sympathies. In watching CNN and Fox I had not noticed anything amiss along these lines. I have since read, perhaps inaccurately, that one of the dead was an American from Iowa, I believe. When something like this happens it is a terrible trauma to the immediate victims and their families and friends, but also a shock to the community and even the entire nation. Hence my post on this thread was an expression of my own sympathy to the RSPB Community and especially to any who were more closely involved in any way.

Good evening all. Great news that Blue24 is back! Hope she has a nest and partner of her own this year. Hope Monty and Glesni are not far behind. Would be great to see Dai Dots make an appearance I was worried when he was evicted from his nest.

Some of my post vanished! Not sure whereabouts in A merica they were from but a real tradgedy. Another lady who was Spanish was on her way to collect her young daughters from school and was killed. Her daughters will never see thier mother again. These events make me very angry, how can anyone take lives so wantonly and cruelly?
Looking forwardto more returnees tomorrow will we see Glesni. I hope for a better outcome for dear Blue24 she desrves so much more and I feel she is wasted as such a beauty and strong survivor, shes got everything to pass on to future generations. Her day will come:)
Dyfi needs a wise "matchmaker" osprey in there to help those young ospreys get their love affairs and mating and nests properly sorted out. Keith would say it isn't a love affair, it's "just what osprey do" and he is probably right.
But seriously, I don't want to see any more eggs kicked out or abandoned..

No dont want to see that either. Poor Blue 24 had to abandon her eggs to get her own food as Monty stopped feedingher. Life is very tough for ospreys :(

Seriously it is great to see Blue 24 back who seems to have captured the nations osprey fans.
Now she has landed at the "Pile of Sticks" that June posted in a picture she will get down to business and say this is mine including Monty when and if he returns and the drama will play out again.
Correct June it is not a Love Affair they are opportunists and Blue 24 prefers to wait for an opportunity the one she choses. She could have gone back to Rutland and have a nest now but that is not what she presently wants.
Back to amusement time
One day a male osprey will deal the cards and play an Ace and win a Queen and walk away with her (Blue 24) heart.
Now over the past few years with no regrets she has stacked her cards and one day lady luck will play her hand just right and make some male osprey King of her Heart. Now that may be Monty.
