Was thinking about how much Brenda posted on the DYFI thread, especially last season where she liked to post her captures of Monty, Glesni and family, so thought it would be nice to dedicate the first thread starting off the new season to Brenda.
She along with Margo will be sadly missed from this forum, it is so sad that we have to start off with the loss of not one but two valued members.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Thanks Mike for the camera blog link. Interesting just how much work is involved.
Pity tho there is no news yet about dismantling that other platform nor the new nest as I was wondering if there were plans for a second camera being set up.
Facebook post re the birds which have used the 'bongy perch' More to come this week.
Birdies LG DU update.
Awwwww. I didn't know that Nora was the first user of the Boing perch - I only ever saw her the once. It was two days before she migrated in 2012.
I hope they show some captures of the stunning ravens who have landed on it!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I have always had a soft spot for Nora, she was a great Mum, and I will never forget her practise feeding to the side. I loved the video of her nodding off too, it, it always made me smile.
Thought it would be nice to remember her again!.....

NORA NODDING
Don't think there was a video of her practising feeding to the side, but I can remember her doing it.
Awwww - that is lovely Mary.
You are very talented :-) Honestly I think it is wonderful all these tributes you do. When we think of the hard lives they have and the dangers they face, I just think it is lovely to look at something like this and remember them.
Tks Karen, I think its because you always remember your first Ospreys that you watched, and even back then the DYFI cam was so far ahead of all the other cams, so will always have fond memories of Nora and Monty, what a lad! :-)
Yes, KAREN, Mary is so creative, and just see her videos too! I can no longer resist telling you, Mary, what a nerve you have, calling me clever :-*

I am almost (99.999999%) certain there is a video somewhere, I can remember watching it and I'm sure I didn't see it live. However, I've been thru DOP's own channel and done several YT searches, to no avail :(
TIGER ?!!!
IMAGICAT
Oh, and another well-endowed memory to call on:
CLARE ?!!!
BBC Springwatch maybe??

Not at all Scylla, I couldn't even begin to do what you do when it comes to videoing, keeping up with all that is going on, I'd be tearing my hair out LOL....
I wonder where that video of Nora got to then, I went through all the videos on FB and couldn't find it either.
