HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Hi, everyone. I chose this photo for the week because the Sandhill Cranes are migrating through my state on their way north to their spring nesting grounds. I like them a lot!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  • Clare, I hope that Limpy picks up with the revised meds, and he soon feels back to his old self again.

  • CLARE - ditto from me, hope that he will soon be able to get out and about again.

My brother arrived safely in Devon last evening,he had a couple of stops but was very tired after fourteen hours in total.

I have been out with eldest daughter today, shopping, then lunch in the Tapas restaurant, a bit more browsing and then back to her house. When I returned there were some missed calls from OG. She has told me not to phone her on her mobile because she can't always answer it. I'm sure that she will phone later and I'll pass on any news.

  • Good evening, all.  A mere 128 photos taken today at Minsmere - all of them around the Visitor Centre.  Heaven only knows how many there would have been if it had been a lovely day and I'd gone out on the reserve!!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • I always do!

  • I've just been chatting with OG who sends her best regards to everyone. She continues to make progress but is, understandably, finding the time dragging. There is a rumour that WiFi might become available but no definite date set for that!

That would be really good, especially for her!

I've now been through my photos - if you click on this gorgeous bird you'll see the rest:

  • Great pictures yet again, Clare - thank you so much.  That deer has certainly been well fed today.

  • She needs to feed - she's expecting a baby.

  • CLARE   Best wishes to Limpy. Hope he is all better soon.

WENDY  What a glorious day we have had, sounds like you made the most of it.

I wasn't feeling 100% so planned a quiet day with maybe a bit of housework. Then a friend texted to say she had cancelled her medical appt and could we meet up. I got dressed in 2 mins flat and OH dropped me off for a swim before meeting my friend for coffee. She then dropped me off at home. i quickly ironed 2 shirts then walked to a coffee shop in Culloden where I met up with another friend for coffee. OH was home from work just after 3 pm and he wanted to go to the local garden centre for another coffee. Got my Mothers Day card and home to cook evening meal. So much for my quiet day, and still got housework to do!!!
