HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I thought I would begin the new thread by honoring Margo, who passed on this past week. She was a much-loved member of our community, and she will be missed. Comfort and solace to Chris, her OH. Billie, Margo's beloved cat, was such a joy in her life, I thought these two happy kittens cuddled in the shape of a heart might be appropriate.

Joan: I find being around people to be exhausting on a good day; it's awful when I'm grieving. I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday.Clare: Could Limpy take an over-the-counter sleep aid? I sometimes take acetaminophen (paracetamol) with Benadryl when I need to sleep but can't. I hope he feels better.
Hi, all.
It's strangely, weirdly warm here -- almost 70 F (21.1 C)! My local state parks are reporting that the birds are migrating north, including the Sandhill Cranes. The Red-Winged Blackbirds are singing! My wasps in the window nest are waking up. I heard the black snake moving around on the other side of the bedroom wall where he's hibernating. AND I heard tree frogs chirping their little froggy hearts out last night. In mid-February! In Indiana! In 2014, it was -12 F (-24.4 C) during this same time period. So, so weird! Anyway, I popped in because I'm worried about Annette. I just read that SoCal could get 10 inches of additional rain. Apparently, they will get an "atmospheric river"?! Annette: Stay safe. Pack a go-bag with any meds you need, fill your car with gas, and bug out if you need to, my friend.

I love Skechers........I love books as well! Limpy would love me to have a Kindle but it just wouldn't be the same.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

How are your oversized garden birds doing?

Hello all. Just been catching up on all the news.
Diane, thank you for starting us off and for the lovely tribute to Margo.
Wendy and DjoanS - its always difficult to know what to say when one loses a partner - thoughts and prayers go with you both and in particular with Joan for Wednesday. You will get some time on your own afterwards but do hope that support is on hand.
Lindybird - great pics as usual to cheer us all up. Do have a lovely holiday, believe you are going on Wednesday. Dau did have a couple of quite warm days at the end of the week but evenings were quite chilly. Still she enjoyed the break with her friend.

Clare - thanks for the info. That is good news. At least visiting should be a little easier for EE.
