HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Hello to everyone, and I hope you all have a good week.

I thought I would begin the week by honouring Brenda. She was a wise and truly kind person, and she will be missed.

  • Good morning, all!  Foggy here today, though it's supposed to clear later.

Lynette, many happy returns!  I'm pleased you had a nice day for your 70th.

Dibnlin, ouch!  I bet you'll be glad when all the dental work is finished.

    Lindy, love the dog!

Right, time to post a new thread.......

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • I always used to think it was 26th, but get it right since we moved here!  26th is Australia Day!

Maybe about 4 hours sleep if I add it all together.  Just had a phone consultation with the doc I saw on Monday, and am going to pick up a different prescription later, when I go for blood tests.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • All done.  Click on this lovely Waggy to see more:

  • OG Glad there is an improvement.

LYNETTE   Good luck with your med tests.

    LINDY  love the pic.

Look like I have done a few rounds with Mike Tyson and that is before the bruising comes out.

Ouch.  It's remarkable you're still coherent.  I hope you get to catch up with your sleep very soon.

  • Clare - another lovely set of photographs.  Thank you so much.  I had an early start and a few rounds with the photocopier to get the church magazine out, so a relaxing few minutes with birds was just what I needed!  Now off to bowls - it's all 'go' today ...

  • PAT - apart from your more active pursuits, your life seems very much in parallel with mine - church magazine week here too!  Luckily got all the handwritten items in early, so typed them up last week before getting ill - just need to decide on the order, complete the calendar and then OH will reproduce it on Friday for Sunday.  And again, luckily, not on any rotas for the next couple of weeks.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • OG - Most of the items for our church magazine are typed, so I can just cut and paste, edit, find suitable pictures etc etc etc.  My main problems are (1) getting people to contribute!; and (2) trying to make them stick to the cut-off date!  I do it on my own and have a busy 'other' life - people just don't appreciate how long these things take!  But I do enjoy doing it.  It's all printed now and ready for distribution on Sunday.  Plenty of rotas and Plans and meetings to keep me out of mischief!

Hope your pain is easing and that you are able to get more sleep.

  • Hope it wasn't too cold on the greens today, Pat.

It's hard work producing a regular church magazine or similar. Perhaps best to tell a little white lie about how early the contributions have to be 'in' by!

OG - I would be really grumpy on so little sleep. Hope your pain eases.

Clare - Another lovely set of pics. You do live in a lovely part of the country.

Sunny here but deceptive. A sneaky cold wind makes hats and gloves necessary. Very very cold all over the UK tonight, folks: keep warm!

  • Good evening, all.  I spent the afternoon at Minsmere - click on this pretty dunnock to see a few sightings from the feeders:
