HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Hello to everyone, and I hope you all have a good week.

I thought I would begin the week by honouring Brenda. She was a wise and truly kind person, and she will be missed.

  • OG - Hope you can get some answers, or at least a referral, at the docs today. You must be exhausted.

  • LINDY - I think that DIBNLIB's post will be regarding her Mum's symptoms.

  • HEATHER/LINDY    Yes that's right, it is Mum.

  • Oh, I see.  Thanks, Heather.

  • Sorry, Dibnlib - didn't want to jump to any conclusions. Sorry too, about your Mum - I know it's been a worry, lately.

  • Heather B said:
I hate it when you have to run the gauntlet with surgery staff before you get what you need.

I'll agree with that.  It can get ludicrous at our surgery - on one occasion Limpy's GP specifically requested he make an appointment to see him, only for the admin staff to tell him he couldn't book an appointment that day and he'd need to try each morning and wait for someone to call him back to see if he merited one!  Mad.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Blimey, it's quiet.

I did manage to escape the house with the camera for a short while.....anyone here like sunsets?  Click on this one for a mercifully short thread:

  • Evening all: One thing after another today.

Heather: Pleased you had a nice dinner with the family. I see they're coming up with all kinds of ingenious ways to keep you busy, but laundry?  :-))

Lindybird: Your omelette evening sounds like a Laurel & Hardy movie. :-) Hope your OH is better now.

Clare: Will go back and look at pix when I have the chance, but must say that sunset photo is lovely.

OG: Hope you got some help for your knee at the docs. Any chance of an MRI?

Falling asleep here so will sign off.  Seems like it's going to be a busy week here.

    Take care all.

  • Good morning, all.  It's another very cold morning here but at least last night's fog has cleared.  It promises to be a sunny afternoon......now, where can I go today?

  • Good morning everyone

    Lovely pics, CLARE. Thank you!

This business of trying to keep heating bills down is getting me down, also. I went to bed really early last night and decided to be virtuous and turn the heating off. Surprising what a difference a few hours made, heating came on at 6.30am but I'm still shivering. Must be getting soft.

LINDY Can I admit to a chuckle when I read about your kitchen happenings? Except of course when reading that your OH fell. A friend of ours used a gate to keep the dog out of the kitchen but fell one day as she tried to climb over it. Anyway she fell and ended up with a fractured neck of femur. She did tell me why she didn't open/remove the said gate but I can't remember, it was a few years ago.

DIBNLIB Is your Mum still in hospital?

ANNETTE- you sound a bit pressured. Take care.

OG - have been thinking about you and wondering what kind of night you spent and what the GP said.

Has anyone heard from GEORGE? I've probably missed posts over the past few weeks.

    Thinking about MARGO x

Stepson and wife have asked me out to lunch today. Tapas, I think.
