Good morning, all!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

I promise, another cat picture tomorrow!
Clare - We're off to see the much talked about "La La Land".
My Friend and her OH saw it last Friday and enjoyed it hugely.
LINDY- looking forward to the film review !
A very quiet day here, went to town, paid electric bill, got granddaughter new school trousers. I had an SOS from Elgin, she had ripped her one and only remaining pair. Too cold for her school skirt, so I was told....
My son is coming up to visit on 27th this month, with his brother in law. Some research (!!) required apparently, for the whisky shop that he is opening in March. I have been offered a job, should I want one:-) I asked him how someone who has only tasted whisky twice and hated it both times could possibly sell it.
Heather: A job in a whisky shop? I suggest a crash course!
Years ago I had a freelance contract for some four or five years with one of the leading Scotch producers and suppliers. As far as I am concerned, whisky is purely medicinal and tastes worse than the worst possible medicine. I was told very firmly never to tell anyone I didn't drink the stuff - there may even have been a clause in my contract! But also in my past I worked in both an off-licence and behind a bar, and was quite happy to serve it for others to drink! They're welcome to it ... but over the years it did provide me with a decent income.
I think that I would be better off dusting the shelves in said shop :-)
Sorry, WENDY- just remembered that you have a whisky background ;-)
I was a tour guide for 5 year after retiring when I moved to the Highlands.
The last 3 I was doing the longer nosing and tasting yours so could be out with a group of enthusiasts for over 2 hours.
I do like a Speyside Single Malt but I did work with guides that didn't and they usually did the quicker tourist tours.
Snow lingering behind the house but should be gone by tomorrow .
Still limping along with sick PC. Hopefully it will now be going to hospital in the next couple of days.
Afraid none of you have heard of Whisky Castle in Tomintoul. Yes I am a whisky lover but I was educated into what REAL single malt whiskies are about. Sadly at the moment I am changing asthma medication. supporting OH getting harder.
