I'm starting a new thread for this year as Ems has posted his first Blog of the year. Unbelievably, they've had waxwings just a few miles up the road, in Machynlleth! What a good winter it has been for sightings of these beautiful birds.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks Clare
as always Ems writes informative Blog
HERE are some more waxwings taken by Alan, in Sheffield a few days ago( scroll up/down for some super shots of Peregrines Alan's main object for his foray into Sheffield that day}
What a morning Alan had! Thanks for the link.
Thanks for starting this one Clare.

It is a lovely area, even without the ospreys! I loved Glaslyn too!
