The ROP Team has landed in Banjul, Gambia. Good luck for many repeat sightings and new birds too!
Hello Africa!
I've just read that Thomas Cook are flying nearly 1000 British people out of Gambia due to unrest in the area. I hope the Rutland team will be OK - not to mention the overwintering ospreys!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
The Rutland team will be returning at the earliest opportunity
Gambian Adventure
The latest ROP blog here. Kayleigh posted a link on their FB page, where she said "Read about the fun we've had in Gambia! (And yes we're aware of the situation and will be returning at the earliest opportunity.)"
Sorry Alan!! I started my post, and got distracted, so 'replied' without checking!!
Good news. 5F was seen at Tanji today.
Great news about 5F, Alan, thanks! Hope the Rutland team stay safe and have an uneventful rest of their stay and an equally uneventful return home!
Kind regards, Ann
