Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
By the way I've uploaded my Minsmere photos - click on this beauty to see some more:
It was very hot yesterday, overnight min was 30.7 C and expecting a scorching 41 today. My washing should dry before I can hang it out!!! Fire bans of course. Overseas travellers are met at airport with bottles of water & leaflets explaining how to cope.
HEATHER - so pleased that the solicitor visit was made easier for you by such a gentleman.
CLARE - more great photos - loved the "mixed bathing"!
AQ - hope you are finding ways to keep cool today.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Heather: Pleased to read that the solicitor was able to put you at ease somewhat. Sounds like you're coping well under the circumstances.
Good Morning, All. Very misty and foggy, here.
Heather - Glad to see that all went well. You must be feeling tired now, {{HUGS} to you.
Good morning, all. Misty here too and seems to be getting thicker. Builder has arrived and is working!
Spent time yesterday late afternoon and early evening going through OH's tourist leaflets so they now fit in their allocated boxes - had some going back to 2004 for attractions which no longer exist. Even some we kept would need to be verified online before planning to visit! Now looking at a possible itinerary for early May, taking in the Motability vehicle show in Manchester, as we have to change the car next year.

Good morning, all. It feels quite damp here today, though it's not quite misty. It's been a funny old morning - I was awake really early and I could not get back to sleep so I got up and had breakfast and a nice, hot cuppa. I was all right until about 9.00 when my eyes wouldn't stay open, so back to bed I went! I'm feeling a bit more with it now.
Damp here too; we're already ahead of our "normal" rainfall totals at this point in the season, with more to come. :-)
