Don't think my last post posted, so here it is again.
OK, well, Christmas dinner eaten and gifts given and received, so tomorrow we're going to relax and do Nothing!
Meanwhile, the very best wishes of the season to all the dear people on this thread, lurkers included.
EDIT; But now I see it did. Not sure it's me or the site that's not with it!
Oh dear, they grow up so fast
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG What a bonny pic.
LINDY Me too, no matter how short my hair is, I wake up looking like a very scruffy haystack. Quite frightening for OH.
Good evening! I'm afraid I'm posting the threatened photos - just click on this stunning bird to see the rest:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
dibnlib: Woke up this morning with sore spot on scalp where hair apparently took a turn for the worse overnight and is still going the wrong way after multiple brushings.
OG: Cutie alert!!! :-)
Diane: Did you see Google's "most searched topics by State" map for 2016? In California they included "88th Academy Awards," "National Parks 100th Anniversary" and "2016 the worst year ever?" (think the Orange Troll as my friend calls him); in Indiana they included "Harambe Meme," "Mike Pence" (Orange Troll's sidekick) and "Florence Henderson."
We are getting quite a decent amount of rain this winter and when I went outside first thing I could smell the wonderful rich damp earth. Marvelous!! Drizzling again now with showers through the week and then a decent amount of rain again for a few days the week of Jan 9. :-))
OH and I not going anywhere at all tonight. I'm going to cook the first non-Christmas meal, open a nice bottle of something - and probably be fast asleep by the time 2017 arrives.
The fireworks have already started ... not much chance of any more sleep this year, I guess.
Happy New Year to all - may 2017 bring you all health and happiness.
