HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Sending hugs and love to all those facing adversity.

Just lost a long story but I just want to say that I hope everything goes well for Margo on Monday and that Diane is recovering from her ordeals. I also enjoyed my meeting with OG and Eagle Eye last Saturday when I had called into Loch Leven to get some Christmas cards. Heather I hope you and your O/H get all the help you require.
Hope everyone else keeps well as the weather forecast is for a cold winter.

Morning all: I had no idea Andrew Sachs (was his name Miguel?) wasn't Spanish. He was a riot - wonder if Fawtly Towers would be considered PC these days!
Heather: The thermostat war is in full swing again here. Our night temps are in the 40s and daytime highs in the 60s and OH is always cold.
Brenda: Thanks for news of Margo. I can't imagine anything is easy for her right now.
Lindybird: Maybe ask one of those woolly critters if you can borrow a jacket. Are they alpacas or llamas? I got a wonderful poncho from South America decades ago courtesy of a boss I had who traveled there a lot on business. It was a woven Indian sort of geometric design in black, brown and white, with white fur around the neck. It looked wonderful and was so toasty!
George: Sorry we missed your long post. Nice you got together with OG and EE; hope you're not too cold where you are.
Spent all yesterday (well, most of it) in the garage sorting through cameras that OH's father and OH collected over the years. Nikons, Minoltas, Pentex, plus one of those huge old plate cameras from Lord knows when, plus three tripods and innumerable Nikon lenses and filters. We are taking them to a camera store in town next week to have one of their oldtimers/experts look them over and figure out what's what. Oh, and I also started sorting through OH's family's tools too - I mean, how many hammers does one need? Or wrenches? Lots and lots of stuff including four sanders, two paint stripping heat guns and other things I can't put a name to. Not to mention all kinds of wood of all types, lengths and widths... Tools and wood are laid out the workbench and floor, so when I call the folks at Habitat for Humanity (they have a warehouse nearby), the guy won't have to mess with the mess it was. Honestly....
ANNETTE - Sound like $$$$ might be involved! One can only hope! I found binoculars here dating from World War 1. With a German name on indicating the owner :-(.... Don't like to think how they might have found their way into OH's family.
Thank you George. Your kind thoughts are much appreciated. Take care.

Nice to hear from you, George. How annoying to take the trouble to write, and then lose a long post! Sorry. It was a coincidence that you managed to meet OG and EE, lovely that you could all chat. Thank you for your good wishes.
Annette, I thought that perhaps it was a llama, but I can't be sure. No idea, as it was taken from an animal collection on the Net somewhere. Cute, though!
I've been busy with all sorts of things, (including making 30 sausage rolls!) and my OH has been doing yet more tidying in the garden now that more leaves have fallen. He also went out for me on errands and bought some stamps for the Christmas cards - he was suitably shocked at the price!! They're nice ones this year, with snowmen :-)
PS - we've had trouble with the TV reception in our dining room. The main set, in the sitting room, is on cable so we never have a problem with it, but on the other one we sometimes can't get channels, or it breaks up. So....my OH went missing for a while, then came back and said that he'd been on the roof of the garage fixing the aerial!!
LINDY - glad that he returned safe and sound! I'm closing down now, it has been a long and busy day but OH is now asleep and I think I'll plug myself into Radio 4. See you tomorrow :-)
Back from a meal out - first night open at new Bistro in Lockerbie.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Special hugs to our Margo for Monday.
OG – Beautiful Miriam. Lovely thick hair.
Linda – I’m enjoying your cruise pics.
Hello to everyone. I’m not keeping up again. Yo-Yo weather here – a few days cool, a few days low 30s, repeat. Today 30 C.
Hope you enjoyed it, OG.
Been putting stuff in the hall -- off to visit Youngest and family tomorrow, to celebrate the latest birthday. Bonnie is going to stay with my OHs sister, just for the day. We're taking some Christmas bits and pieces as well, as we won't see them again until after the big day.
