Look back at last week for Lindybird's lovely Remembrance Day poem and related posts.
Veteran's Day was yesterday here, but there were some events today judging by the various planes that flew in formations along the beach.
Best thoughts to all this week..
GEORGE Good to hear from you. Hope you are keeping well.
dibnlib - had to giggle at your post above. I had a mental picture of you putting your OH's coat on and taking him for a walk ... little things ... :) Hope the cold disappears soon.
George - Nice to have a post from you. I agree that the internet saves a lot of trudging around shops at this time of year. It sounds very sensible to me, not to travel at a busy and cold time, and to eat out as a treat for the three of you. Enjoy yourselves!
Dibnlib - Sorry you have the sneezes, hope it doesn't turn into much. My Friend has just bought an Elf outfit for her Miniature Schnauzer to wear on Christmas Day!
Hello all and thanks for your news.
Nice to see you, GEORGE. Yes, my OH was always very active but right now needs help with all activities of daily living. Don't know if there will be any improvement but we'll wait and see. He is very on the ball mentally so keeps me on my toes!!
It is my birthday today (don't like thinking about them, these days) and I had to open the front door this morning while in pyjamas and with 'bed hair'. A very personable young delivery driver was standing there with a box of flowers. A nice way to start the day!
Happy birthday, Heather! Even though we don't really want any more birthdays, it's always good to treat it as a special day. Hope you are enjoying your flowers :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!
(sorry I didn't look at my list - probably missed others too!)
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
A very happy birthday, Heather, from Clare and I.

A Very Happy Birthday to You, Heather. I have a List, somewhere, like OG. But I've lost it somewhere....
What a lovely surprise, starting the day with unexpected flowers.
UNEXPECTED FLOWERS
They came first thing in the morning, while I was half awake.
The rustle of the wrapping, made me think 'twas some mistake.
But I held my hands out gladly, to receive the full, bright blooms
As soon as I unwrapped them, their perfume filled the room -
I bent down toward their sweetness, to smell them and to say
"How wonderful to be given love, on this my own birthday!"
Oh LINDY, how lovely! Don't know how you do it. What a great group of folk on here. Always ready with a laugh, support when it is most needed xx
