Look back at last week for Lindybird's lovely Remembrance Day poem and related posts.
Veteran's Day was yesterday here, but there were some events today judging by the various planes that flew in formations along the beach.
Best thoughts to all this week..
Margo - I'm so dreadfully sorry to read the news of your sister, my thoughts are with you at this really difficult time.
Limpy & Clare - Sorry to read your sad news also.

LIMPY and CLARE - so sorry to see you have recently had a loss in the family. It has indeed been a sad time on this thread in recent weeks and months.
JOAN - of course we remember you - good to see you are still reading this thread.
HEATHER - sorry you and OH are having such a very difficult time - and so sudden, too. I hope your family are returning the support you have given them over the years!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OH is doing yet more tidying in the garden and greenhouse. I am supposed to be bringing together the church newsletter material and also ordering Christmas hampers for the family, but I couldn't decide which to do first!
Decisions, decisions, OG. I'm in the same dilemma: I have this morning to do a few things off the To Do List, but its which to give priority to that's the problem!
Djoan: Of course we remember you! Nice to see you posting. I understand, as I spend probably far too much time on the Web these days and it can "steal" time from real life if you're not careful. Be nice if you popped in now and then and told us how you're doing, though!
Thinking of you Margo at this very sad time.
Birdies LG DU update.
OG - the 'children' have been very supportive and helpful in practical ways. Youngest son in law is not offshore at the moment and will come at the weekend to do some garden jobs. We are indeed fortunate to have four of our joint family living locally.
AQ - I chuckled when I read your post! The glass of my OH is always half empty.
LINDY - yes, nobody promised us an easy life. It is years and years since I read that book. Perhaps should read it again!
Quite cold here today.
Hope to get back later with some replies.
Heather - When I read my post just now, I regretted putting it on. Didn't mean to sound preachy or anything. But it's what I tell myself when things get tough.
I just typed "rough" and my tablet changed it to "tough" which I suppose is just as good a word for it.. .
Thinking of you and hoping that solutions will be found, Heather.
Just had delivery of a chest of drawers which we ordered a while ago. No warning that it might arrive today, so it's just as well that there was someone at home!
Now my OH will have to get out his toolkit as now it's in place, it's too near a large picture, which will have to be moved. He is humming "The Gasman Cometh!"

Glad you are not in Wales this week, LINDA?
MARGO Our sympathies to you and your family. LIMPY/CLARE So very sorry to hear your sad news.
