HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Everyone have a great week!
OG: That's wonderful news! How nice that you'll see little Miriam so soon. :-)
How lovely for your family, OG!!
Welcome to the World, little Miriam :-)
Lovely news, OG. Bet you can't wait to see her.
Welcome, Miriam :) Wonderful to have some really good news on such a difficult day. Thank you, OG - I'll bet you can't wait to see her.
Our power will be off 8-3 today so Chauffeur Friend & I are escaping. Nothing happened last time they were supposed to “upgrade” – we know by the stove clock that nothing was turned off!
Congratulations, OG and Eagle Eye on becoming great grandparents. I mustn't forget 'J' on becoming a great uncle. I bet those three weeks of waiting to see Miriam, will seem like an eternity. Wonderful news.
OG what a lovely name xx
Evening all: Spent the first day of Trump's election as President Elect by cleaning the house within an inch of its life; kept the washing machine going all day long. My brain was so busy digesting the implications that I didn't even notice what I was doing. All I can say now is that it's going to be very, very interesting.
OH and I took Lightning to the vet where she was found to be a typically "senior" cat. Will be giving her shots to help with her arthritis, which seems to be the most obvious issue right now. Poor old puss.
AQ: Hope your day out was good and that the power outage and associated fixes went according to schedule.
Off for coffee and natter with Brit friend tomorrow, then to gym. Onward and upward....
Take care everyone.
Good Morning, All. Awoke to pouring rain hammering on the windows, after a cold night.
Hope that AQ has got off for her trip and that her OH survives the power cut!
Annette - Glad Lightning is doing OK apart from the arthritis. My Friend has a beautiful Maine Coon cat who is now 9 years old, and she has lost a lot of weight recently. They have taken some bloods for a whole lot of tests, as she seems to be healthy otherwise - they ran all the usual checks: now we'll have to wait and see. It is sad to see a much loved pet go into decline.
Your house must be spotless, now! I see there has already been some unrest over the Election result.
My OH and I went out shopping yesterday, and returned after a fairly successful trip. I bought him a new dress shirt for Christmas, and we wanted to choose it together. Also some tins of biscuits from M&S, plus bits of food, and several small presents for the children, and some silly festive glasses for them to wear on The Big Day! (You'll not be surprised to hear that when we arrive at Christmastime bearing all their presents, I wear jolly reindeer antlers!)
Brilliant news this morning that the Golden Eagles are prospering well in Scotland, with now over 500 pairs. Yay!!
