Hi folks, It was a fantastic day yesterday, despite the wind. There was a fledginging of the eldest chick and confirmed by the LG team.
Lots of wing exercising by all three, I think 4 fish were delivered, and intruder alets at times. In all, a normal day .
All quiet on the nest, the usual fidgiting going on.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Now I'm not so sure as one on the right looks like youngest. Help..............this is very difficult.
EJ and Odin are brilliant.!
The chicks would not attempt to rip open a whole fish if they were not very hungry. Nor would they learn to fight for their food. Let them get hungry then drop off a couple of fish and let them learn
They way they teach them without speaking is a joy to watch.
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
It's great to see the GEM's feeding themselves. Although I feel sorry for the one without a fish. He doesn't seem too bothered though. The mantling from one of the GEMs a while back was something to behold. EJ's certainly got them well trained :-)
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Yes Barbara Jean. I was just thinking that the most important outcome here is that they have all eaten. Its been an enlightening day in their development. Now we know they can all feed themselves. The speed with which they grow and learn is amazing.
#2 has the most white on the side of it's head and the only one where we an see a lot of white on the back of it's head
I think #1 is farthest from the camera. It is eating like an adult.. I think #3 is near the camera and a bit clumsy handling the fish and making slow progress . And #2 is without a fish
I think ??
Well, dinner's over, I log on again, and miss al the action. Oh well that's life.
Thanks for the updates and pics. Hav started videoing the next half hour or so so should get some footage etc. Glad to hear that they have had a fish delivery and that both parents delivered. Nice to see them fending for themselve.
I was thinking same as you Barbara Jean and right now #1 is on the distant edge of the nest looking male and a lot like Odin to me. What does anyone else think?

Wow. Have been tidying stuff and what with one thing and another, missed all the excitement. Do hope somebody has taped it for the latecomerrs! Thanks for the blow-by-blow accounts!
Just logged on for first time to-day. Quick look at main blog suggests there's ben some viciousness between the chicks. Was it to do with there being two fish and three chicks ? please can one of you enlighten me ?
