Hi folks, It was a fantastic day yesterday, despite the wind. There was a fledginging of the eldest chick and confirmed by the LG team.
Lots of wing exercising by all three, I think 4 fish were delivered, and intruder alets at times. In all, a normal day .
All quiet on the nest, the usual fidgiting going on.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

will the third get some, mmmm, I wonder. Here begins the next step in their growing up

Emma: "wish they had names ----" so do I, its getting increasingly hard to describe what's going on when they are all so similar and don't have names either.
Agreed Lindybird. They must be very very hungry to have reacted in this way. Conditions seem to have improved so hopefully EJ will see that they have all had enough by the end of the day. I know I'm soft...
I have just sat fascinated watching the two fish deliveries and the aggression by the chick wanting both fish.
I think the saying, ' Don't bite the hand that feeds you', definitely does not apply here.
I feel like calling them Greedy, Sleepy and Bashful right now and Greedy (you know which one that is) is now thinking about stealing Sleepy's fish. Bashful is trying to edge ever closer in hope...now more screeching. What am I missing?
I missed this entire situation. Thanks for the update. I can't tell who has no fish. I think it is #2
The lack of food today may have been by design. First let them get very hungry, then bring food to teach them to fight for their food and survival . Tough Love
The one with no fish keeps going from fish to fish begging instead of fighting for some . Now it is scrounging for scraps . #2 is the timid one :(
YES!! #2 finally fought for a fish and stole it from either # 1 or #3 . The loser is not taking this lightly and is eating from the other end of the fish . Now #2 lost the fish again but it got a few bites.
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Bashful fishless chick gently stole Odin's fish from sibling.
The one without tried to eat the other end of one fish ... and was told in no uncertain terms to keep off!

I like the 'Greedy, Sleepy & Bashful' idea for names!!!
I think bashful one who now has fish in foreground is youngest as it seems to have least coordination especially in handling the fish.
