I hope the lovely Tiger will forgive me for starting this thread but I want to post a link to some beautiful photos of an osprey in Japan. Hope you like them!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
A new blog by Jess, mainly about geese on the Loch, but a wee bit on the situation of the new internet system - or not! There are some lovely photos too.

Thank you Sheila. Let's just hope the new 'dish' arrives soon!!
Birdies LG DU update.
Any one in search of a three-year fixed-term contract at LG!!! It will be good to have continuity.
The days fly along and it is a new month. Only eleven days until the earliest sunset in London a sure sign that the osprey holidays are well under way. No doubt the mid point of the holidays will happen during December.
To keep track of when we can expect to see our feathered friends again you can consult the osprey countdown clock

A new blog, introduced by Jess, but written by Ben, a long-term volunteer up at the Forsinard Flows Reserve, who intends to return to LG in 2017 on a summer internship. He doesn't say whether he will be on the osprey team, or working on the reserve. Jess also has this to say about the webcam.
Still no news on the webcam front I'm afraid - without going into detail, the technology and distance just keep throwing us googlies, but it'll be sorted as soon as we can. Apologies again.
It is close to the point where it is only 100 days until EJ is due
Woopee!!
Really!!!! Bring it on
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Time fly's and half way there to EJ returning. EJ the matriarch and special.
That psychologically important day when the wait for the ospreys falls below 100 days
