No prizes for predicting the opening shot of today's DU - CC's beautiful "Dutch masterpiece" treatment of Odin and Willow @ 0703hr yesterday morning - Willow with his breakfast, waiting to be left in peace ;-)

.
Willow was heard throughout the day, on and off, and last seen on the nest just before 7 in the evening:
We shall be watching and listening eagerly from the pre-dawn hour.

Trying to capture this little critter so it's recognisable, not much luck:
No MARY this morning (or for some time to come) so I'm trying to hang on for BIRDIE or SHEILA or LIMPY or... too tired to think :-/ But I can't hand on any longer.
SYAL :-*
Before I go - the forum hasn't been too bad at all, considering it's Sunday :-)
Sleep well Scylla.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning. ENS and with very little wind at LG today, I have to keep refreshing to make sure it hasn't frozen. No sign of anything for probably over half an hour.
Scylla, thank you for starting us off, and for bringing over the lovely captures of Willow and Odin. I thought the osprey call you posted at 06.23 sounded rather like an intruder call, and I wondered whether the "couple of strange calls" you posted at 06.56 was a tawny. There is a selection of various calls here
It is all horribly quiet today. Have both Odin and Willow gone? What that lovely pic of Willow calling on the nest at 18.49 yesterday, in the evening sunshine, the last we will see of him? Sigh, and more sighs.

12.00 Still quiet ENS
Is it my imagination, or do we have the sign then have left.... the crossed sticks!
I think they have all gone.

LG say Willow was around early morning but no sightings of anyone since then. Could be right Limpy.
Thank you for the update Mike, did you ring them? I have still not heard or seen an osprey while I have either been sitting here, or doing jobs around the kitchen. I keep refreshing to make sure I am not being frozen out, but nothing apart from a fly walking across the lens.
