Hi Folks
I noticed on the Osprey sightings thread an Osprey had been seen at Weir Wood reservoir in Sussex the last time being yesterday at 09.00 so I took a drive across in the hope it was still around. I had only been there down at the west end of the reservoir for about 10 minutes when it appeared suddenly from the west and was clearly on the look out for fish, it done a couple of circuits but then drifted east as the water was a bit choppy due to the breeze. Heres some of the better of the shots I managed to fire off as it moved away, I stayed for a further hour but I guess it had caught a fish so would be perched up somewhere eating it.
Regards Shane

Thanks nairnred, Limpy, Lynette and MaryGK I'll be returning there in the next couple of days to see if it's still around.
Good Luck Shane. Do you think it was an unringed bird? or was it too far away to see ...

Thanks Mary, I did zoom in on the computer but could not see any rings.
Super, wonderful stuff Shane ... thought of you when I read AP's post & wondered if you would be able to get there ... so glad you did!
