Well folks, its been a disappointing day in the fact that the three bairns will not be named, tagged or ringed but that has come from official lines as I hope all of you have seen and we have to acknowledge the expertise of the powers that be.Nevertheless, there has been a lot of wing exercising and mini flights on the nest during the course of the day. Not many fish were delivered, but hey, they have to get trim so they can fledge properly.
Paul, you will see that I have replied to you on the last of the posts for yesterday.
All at peace and sleeping with the odd plink plonk of what sounds like rain.!!!!!!!
Happy viewing and see you in the morning, night, night.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Odin chirping in the background ... EJ not feeding and slightly mantling. The nearest chick is helping itself to the fish under EJ's foot!!

thanks for the pic DjoanS probably will not count as a fledge. Nobody seems interested in eating at the moment, even EJ, although she has the fish in her talons. Think the intruder might still be around and can hear EJ shouting.
Margobird
--here is EJ with the fish, just after Odin left.
Fish delivery
Nobody really interested in food, EJ still looking around her as though an intruder may still be around. Now she has started to give out fish to the nearest to her who is staying sitting down. The other two are mildly interested but not going up yet.
They don't seem very interested, do they Lynette? Perhaps they are more excited about flying...
Must go and do non-osprey things :-( What's the betting I miss something else!
DjoanS lovely pic only one chick seems interested and it is lying down to eat, the other 2 are not at the moment hungry.
These days they remind me more of the sparrows in the garden, who are as big as their Mums, but still begging for food..
You caught Odin nicely Lynette
And, well, was that a fledge or wasn't it ??????????
