Well folks, its been a disappointing day in the fact that the three bairns will not be named, tagged or ringed but that has come from official lines as I hope all of you have seen and we have to acknowledge the expertise of the powers that be.Nevertheless, there has been a lot of wing exercising and mini flights on the nest during the course of the day. Not many fish were delivered, but hey, they have to get trim so they can fledge properly.
Paul, you will see that I have replied to you on the last of the posts for yesterday.
All at peace and sleeping with the odd plink plonk of what sounds like rain.!!!!!!!
Happy viewing and see you in the morning, night, night.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Odin must have decided it is too windy to fish and is having a Sunday morn lie-in. Perhaps he was out late celebrating that his babies will be free of human encumbrances. LOL
OMG Did you see that? He keeps disappearing. He is giving my heart a workout.
Looking at that one that was right at the edge just now with its wings wide open - wonder if they're scared - whoa!! right up and off camera - and back down again! Oh Wow - see that other one watching the action?! Amazing.
I hate to go to bed - that chick is going any minute (didn't I say that before?!) :-)
Chick has settled on EJ's perch at right of nest.
Every time he rises above the camera view, I wait and wait to see if he manages to hit the nest on the way down. One of these times he ain't gonna come back. Now he is hiding almost out of view on the right.
Back in view and seems determined to go somewhere - anywhere - today! :-)
Odin is so smart!!
I remember last year when he hauled in that huge branch on the right side of the nest. Many of us thought "What is he thinking bringing a small tree to the nest "
Well, it has become EJ's favorite place to perch when she want to rest her feet or the nest is too crowded . And now it give the chicks a place to practice landing on a branch , while still safely on the nest

Uh oh - all that flapping has messed up his (her?) hair. Time for a preen and a little rest. Phew!
Right Barbara Jean! Very smart creatures.
