How different yesterday has ended than the day before when the boys nestled together on the nest! One reason being that the cam inexplicably zoomed in around Night Cam time and never returned to normal. So we are not exactly sure who is on the nest tonight, though we can guess it is Willow. And we assume no one else is standing on the other side! Yesterday brought many flights on and off the nest for both siblings. Willow managed to fly off the nest with his fish, another milestone in a young osprey's development. Some speculated again about when EJ would venture fishing to support the increased volume needed of fish, now that both youngsters are airborne. And yet again Granny Smith supplied superb photos and a report of her visit to the VC.
One thing is certain, though the nest was empty a few times today, true ENS has not yet set in for us. Hopefully the cam pic will be normalized, and with good focus. :-?

I am using Puffin to view Carnyx and its buffering so much, and is too fuzzy it's not worth trying to take any captures. By the time I got them posted they would be so late and not relate to anything happening on the nest lol....
When I saw you here I sighed a huge sigh of relief, thinking you'd be posting your oil-painting snaps ;-) Never mind. It sounds as tho you and MIKE are having just as difficult a time as I am.

Down again:
Up again and off in a buffer:
Almost got Willow's wink for MARY:
Its not easy being MC and a DUer Scylla is it :-)
At least Willow still on the nest so my snips are relevant this time.
He seems to be tired and is nodding off all the time in between buffers.
Mike I cannot even get a minute without a buffer, then I have to go out and start reloading Carnyx again, will see if I can get the other webcam view through RSPB and see if it is any better.
To make matters worse, I am getting the an error occurred while uploading photo thingy
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Willow is stirring and making funny noises, not chirps nor squawks.
Some jumping going on, now on the side of the nest.
S*d the snaps.
Scylla I have yet to see both Rowan and Willow on the nest but I see you have captured them At 07.14, lol.... Every time I Have looked it is only Willow lying down...
I have to go as breakfast awaits.
Have a good day all.
I think that Willow flew and is now back - well, the ring doesn't look like PPO, that's as much as I can tell.

Being an inveterate would-be detective, I think you got the "07.14" from the date "2016 07 14". My snaps and MIKE's were +/- 0700hr - LOL!
It's not helped by me posting so far in arrears!
That's a lovely full chirp that Willow has. He's been on 'n off the nest, no knowing what he's doing in between.
LOL SCYLLA, my eyes don't work very well in the morning, always a bit blurry, so thanks for clarifying that for me. :-)
