How different yesterday has ended than the day before when the boys nestled together on the nest! One reason being that the cam inexplicably zoomed in around Night Cam time and never returned to normal. So we are not exactly sure who is on the nest tonight, though we can guess it is Willow. And we assume no one else is standing on the other side! Yesterday brought many flights on and off the nest for both siblings. Willow managed to fly off the nest with his fish, another milestone in a young osprey's development. Some speculated again about when EJ would venture fishing to support the increased volume needed of fish, now that both youngsters are airborne. And yet again Granny Smith supplied superb photos and a report of her visit to the VC.
One thing is certain, though the nest was empty a few times today, true ENS has not yet set in for us. Hopefully the cam pic will be normalized, and with good focus. :-?

Odin has stopped, and EJ was shouting while picking up fish-bits from the nest, so I gather the worst is over ;-)
No, Odin still chipping from afar, and EJ is shouting again.
IMAGICAT
Still defending, Odin on nest with fish, Willow still on nest.
Rowan has been a star right thru, shouting his little head off.
Here's Odin:
Willow startled by Dad's arrival:
Then Odin flew.
It's quiet now. Phew.
Not sure what EJ is doing now, except maybe relaxing, head down, after all the excitement. Aha! The pic was frozen while the hum continued.
She called and flew.
Sleepy:
I can hear EJ's soft pipes but can't see anyone besides Willow.
Willow alert!
Not for long.
Willow got up and Odin (or is it EJ?) arrived with a piece of fish. Snaps to follow.
Odin with fish.
Birdies LG DU update.
He might have got up for a poop?
This looked Odin-y to me:
I'm going to check VLC for a better view, there were frames missing in screen capture.
Anyway, whoever it was flew, and Willow is now in his familiar position on the very edge of the nest, - may have just flown, probably has... no, I can see the occasional blur of a wing flapping.
And to prove it he's back in view, having dragged sticks with him, and chirping with an EJ voice.
^^^That should have posted earlier..
Mad moment before flying off (am pretty confident he's gone now.)
