Fledging Day for EJ's 25th chick, Willow, was yesterday, at age 54 days old, all captured by our online team! In addition, we have reports and pics from MaryGK and Granny Smith direct from the VC. Exciting times, with photos of the whole family in one tree. All to get us prepared for the looming prospect of ENS. VC is now switching cam views from the nest to the tree for our viewing pleasure (blog from Chris). Also a blog from Sarah anticipating ENS.
However tonight, for now we can feast our eyes on the two brothers sharing a nest together in true fraternity.

Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Hello! How lovely to find the boys both on the nest, calling for a fish supper, and to see they spent the night together, snuggled on the nest. Well done Odin, three fish today - thank you Scylla for the vid of the first delivery, it was quite a whopper. So Willow took off with a fish earlier this afternoon. They are growing up so quickly. I see intruders continue to disturb the scene, but are soon seen off. I am sorry you are having an unproductive time with your vid, Birdie. How very frustrating and time-consuming for you.
Hello lindyloo and ChrisyB I am so glad you both enjoyed your visits to LG, and plan further visits. We look forward to more updates!!
The boys are currently quiet, and waiting.

Rowan gets up
And flies away
18.48 Willow also flies off. ENS
18.49 Rowan/Willow returns. Hmmm, actually I am unsure who it is!!
Hello everyone - to scylla and BNN for their hair-pulling exploits. I have been struggling myself with the technology. My VLC player has a slower rate of sound than video image rate so I can't record with any fidelity to syncing sound and image. But Carnyx buffers every few minutes so I have to refresh.
Nevertheless I do have a video coming of communication between the brothers.that had two flyaways cut off by buffering.

I meant to respond yesterday(?) to someone asking "when will they catch their own fish" (paraphrased) that the next landmark is flying off the nest with fish :-)
MOFFER, thanks for those "stats" re EJ's fishing schedule - that's put my mind at rest. Something about EJ's persona is making me anxious lately.
EJ is here. She looks really mad.
18.58 EJ has arrived, looking alert, and flapping. Intruder?? Yes, she is mantling and Rowan hits the deck. Absolutely NO SOUND.
18.59 The intruder seems to have left.
EJ's on the nest again, defending with open wings :o
This won't post...
