We follow a good day in every way except weather - the rain made dear Willow too heavy to fledge :-(
A doodle I did yesterday - it supports the opening statement:
Willow is having a peaceful night so far. (I'm sticking with the official line that Willow is male, even tho some of us think he's a she.)
Up for a brief preen, stretch, scratch that itch:
A post-poop (not photogenic) stretch and flap, back down to sleep straight away:

Poor Willow - really not the right weather for successful fledging. I'm sure if he had had some sunshine and helpful wind, he would be airbourne by now...

C'mon, Willow....make our day:
'Stop trying to hurry me!!'
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Hello one and all. I have been here, watching out of the corner of my eye, and all the time he has been on that far right rim. Occasional flaps, but no real lift off. At least he is standing today, rather than lying a lot as he did y'day. I feel he needs more exercising before he is really ready to go. He may be a late fledgling.
Many thanks Scylla for starting the day, but a special thanks must go to Moffer for some superb captures of Willow standing/posing on our side of the nest. They were stunning. He really is a 'beautiful' male!

Calls still going on. Has Rowan joined in???
Afternoon Birdie. Odin is still alarm calling, and there are some high pitched squeals too.
Willow is watching
I can hear EJ alarming now aswell.
Something is going on overhead. I've seen birds fly past, and behind, but Willow is looking up.
