Daily Update (LG Nest) Saturday 10th July

Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG.  Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no  ringing, tagging and naming took place.  We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year.  As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.

The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.

After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting

Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

  • Looks like the three amigos are just going to sit there and stare into their new world... Thank you so much for all the super pics and comments.so good night from me....

Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.

  • It is still raining so to amuse themselves two of the  GEMS are  watching  insects ( I think) that have taken up residency on the nest.  It is a safe  place  for insects to make a home since Ospreys  rarely eat them

  • Barbara Jean - thanks for that guess about the insects ... I hadn't twigged ... I wondered why they were watching the nest so intently at times :-))

has anyone read the last comment on the main blog

Soosin I am so angry about that man's comment .........but I know that type of person feeds on the reaction he gets.

He has now made another comment this time about Roy Dennis.

I sincerely hope that Richard, Roy and all the LG Team, know how much we appreciate all they have done and don't take any nasty comments to heart.

  • have to go before I say something on the main blog.  Was going to suggest Gaviscon for the trouble he's having with wind, but I  think Immodium is needed for the Verbal Diarohhea going on now.  Barbara Jean don't respond.

    Night all and happy watching

All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

  • 22.18 night cam is on.  Nest looks damp and camera has dampness on the lens but all looks drier than earlier.  Some flapping going on but these youngsters must be so full up after that huge fish EJ brought in earlier that I don't think they are likely to fly off tonight.

  • I have just read the last 10 comments and replied, but who is this Forres, I imagine a man. How rude. I am very sad today but not angry as it was the weathers fault and we cannot do anything about that unfortunatly.

I hope Richard replies and asks him not top blog on here again.

    Night all JILLIAN

  • Un, deux et trois - I like that Barbara Jean.  Two youngsters have settled down but one - the one who wants to receive his/her pilot's license before the others is snoozing and keeping a lookout.  The rain seems to have stopped and the camera lens is completely dry now.  I hope Richard and the team are relaxing this evening and can have a bit of a lie in tomorrow.  This must have been a difficult week for them.  Hope to hear from Gary, Annette, AQ and other friends from overseas in the near future.

  • Now the lookout has decided he/she wants to settle down and has muscled in between the two sleeping beauties, wakening sibling on left up in the process.  After only a brief moment, they have all settled down and have their heads buried in the nest.  Spoke too soon - sibling on left has gone walkabout, relieved itself, flapped its wings a few times and would you believe it....its raining again!

  • Just looked in to catch up and what a catch up , 4 pages to trawl through. Anyway I've done it. Great captures DJoan S and thanks for all the posts .Twp of the bairns are up and doing a bit of wingercising even though it looks as if its raining..Just taken these last few;
