Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

HeatherB - now that I've got used to the idea of them not being ringed and tagged, I think it will be nice to be left wondering .... better than knowing that something bad has happened like poor Deshar.

Agree, Joan. That was awful, I kept looking at GE imagining how it must have been.

HeatherB - and we still have Rothes to follow for as long as her batteries last (in her backpack ... not her personal batteries!!)
Periodically, they are lining up for take-off as if on a runway. I agree DjoanS and HeatherB - we'll never know their fate which has positive and negative aspects.

Exactly, Joan and EmmaPeel!

EDIT Hope the band was fine today!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Its wonderful to have Rothes to follow isn't it? We are very privileged to have seen her last year and she took us all by surprise by migrating long before we realised that she was on her way. She is an amazing bird and truly a credit to her parents. I quietly hope that we might be lucky enough to follow her migration back northwards when it happens but I realise the battery pack might not last long enough.
Still raining on the nest and it must be blowing right onto the camera as the picture is pretty blurred.

Heather that is so well phrased.
It is raining quite hard now.
Before the lens was splattered with rain drops #1 was looking right into the camera. #1 looks exactly like EJ. It has a "fluffy bib" right under it's beak just like she does .
#3 looks like Odin. The feathers under his beak are not as fluffy
