Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

Odin with a fish 16.15! He came in from this side .... how on earth did he find room to land?

It sounds as though Odin is on the way, and in he comes, camera side and gone in a flash, couldn't snap it. Not much room for him to land where he did. The youngster nearest the camera is tackling the fish with its sibling also trying to get in on the action - but no it is mantling now and not letting anyone else in. EJ is just watching the procedure.
Young one on this sdie got the fish .... being watched enviously by the other two. now a tug of war has developed between two of them!
There is a right barney going on with the fish between two of them . One of the siblings has managed to hog it and is feeding itself whilst one is trying to pinch some from it.
The third sibling was exercising and now the 2nd one has pinched it from its sibling and is eating from it.
EJ is now calling again.
Oh my , the chick with the fish just challenged EJ when she took a step toward the fish . LOL
Two chicks working on eating the fish .
Now #1 ( I think) just took the fish from #2 . There was no argument nor challenge. #1 is eating as #2 wing exercises and #3 preens. EJ is standing guard as they learn to feed themselves. The wind has picked up again

The one nearest the camera is still tucking in and the third one which was exercising at first has now come over to its sibling and is trying to get some for itself, as well as the first one. Heads down!! EJ is still calling in the background.
Its very confusing now, trying to tell who is who. The one nearest the cam is still eating, the other two are mouching about, although the one on the right seems to be tackling something.
Even when they are left with one fish to share there is no nest fighting. Amazing!
I think Roy is correct about the brood being 3 males. Years ago I wanted to get a companion for my male kitten . I spoke to my Vet and she said that two males will normally get along. She said two females will never get along, because the females are the most territorial .
They appear to have torn the fish into pieces so each has some LOL Two are eating and there was only one fish
