Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

I think 2 and titch are nest potatoes. They snuggle up together and look at each other as if to say "don't look at her he'll just keep doing it"
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Hiya Tish, are you well/ It was def having a ball in the wind once the legs are back he'll be off.

Quite right Linda - I thought youngest was a male too. No idea why, : )
Afternoon all and such disappointing news although I can't say I am really surprised. All 3 are so large now and very active in he nest and we would have been distraught if one of them had taken off in fright and injured itself. Of course there is the safety aspect as well for those involved in the ringing and tagging. We must be pleased however that EJ and Odin have managed to raise yet another healthy set of 3 chicks who this year have given us immense pleasure with their antics and also the lack of any serious sibling rivalry. We will have to wait until next year and hope the weather will be a lot better.

ChloeB I totally agree with you. I think we have to bow to the experts in this instance and obviously they left it to tell us that when they realised it was not going to happen this year. Sad but we should be happy for the joy they give us.
I can hear EJ & she is food calling, although not on the nest....
Lindybird - I thought I heard EJ food calling ... glad you did too. I wonder if Odin is eating a fish or if she's telling him to go fishing!
