Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

Glad you found the blog, folks! I've had trouble logging on to some pages this morning ... and then getting error messages when I try to post.
All very quiet on the nest ... probably due to the rain!

Afternoon everyone. Just read Richard's blog. What a shame that there will be no ringing and naming of the youngsters. I'm less concerned about the sat-tags but would love to have seen them named and ringed so that birdwatchers out there might be able to identify them. It must be so disappointing for the team after such a wonderful season but I suppose it was inevitable with the weather forecast for this week. Next week's forecast isn't much better in my neck of the woods. Guess we'll all just have to try and find a way of recognising them so that once they are off the nest we might have a clue who is who.
Just read it myself. At least now we know for certain and are not on tenterhooks any longer. Plus it has put an end to the inevitable bickering amongst posters in various places.

12.38: EJ returns, but bearing only moss. One of the GEMs is not impressed and gives her a peck!
12.41: she's off again. Any fish deliveries yet? Laird has recently brought on in at LoL

Thanks Joan. Extremely disappointing. Would have liked them to have been ringed, as they will not be identified again, but that is just my selfish view.
Hi all- just home and read Richards blog. - aww what a shame. - Three wee Ospreys going to be anonymous for the rest of their lives. Good call I;m sure from LG but quite sad. I know that sounds pathetic but Hey Ho.

LOL well that one was out of sight, thought it was off
Did anyone record that. A chick was getting some real height to it's flight.
EDIT, Stills camera did not catch it. It was a straight up flight, not across the nest.
Just read the Blog from Richard. Very, very sad that we will not be able to follow the fortunes of these three fiesty chicks in their migration adventures, and possible return to the UK. Like Emma Peel, above, I would have liked them to be ringed at least, so that we could know what happened to them in future years.
He's just loving that - height and length
