Daily Update (LG Nest) Saturday 10th July

Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG.  Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no  ringing, tagging and naming took place.  We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year.  As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.

The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.

After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting

Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

  • Annette:  Thanks for the movie summary.  I'm not really that bothered about films myself.  Too many questions to be honest.  Such as: Why does nobody ever put their fingers in their ears due to gunshot noises? and Why do people always creep about in the dark in their own homes, even when they know that switching the light on would expose the burglar?  Have to get back on topic now.  Two chicks preening vigorously, while a third rests.

  • Ha Ha Heron, Your problem is too much imagination. You are supposed to sit there and be spoonfed!!! BTW Himself has been watching the midday movie - WWII in B&W. Just to get back on topic - one GEM just strrrrreeeetched a huge wing.

  • Heron: If people did the sensible thing, most thriller/crime movies would be over in about two minutes!

    Morning AQ!

Meanwhile, over at LOTL, Laird has just delivered the second fish of the day. But let's face it, he's a relatively (as far as we know) inexperienced Dad, so unlike Odin is unaware that he can slack off a bit and have a lie in (lay in?) speaking of which, I'm going to call it a night and head off to bed. Take care all.  Let's see what the morrow brings....

  • Good night Annette. Fingers & toes crossed that weather at LG is fine.

  • Good night Annette :-)

AQ:  Another one of my movie questions is: Why do the streets outside the saloons in westerns look so clean, despite all the horses in those films?  I think you're right perhaps I do have too much imagination.

  • Another question - How come drivers in films find a car park so easily right outside where they intend to go . . . . One GEM has been wingercising - taking advantage of the space while t'others are still abed.

  • Two are busy doing something below camera view - flossing? trying a vegetarian diet? It's out of sight so it must be mischief. LOL

  • AQ.  The two below camera view are hatching a plan to fledge as soon as they hear the sound of humans approaching with a ladder.  LOL

  • How many of  you log in and "gulp"  because they are so camouflaged  it looks like there are only 2 chicks on the nest. When you look more carefully you see all three

    Formerly known as Barbara Jean

  • I know exactly what you mean Barbara.  It's usually because one of the GEMshas decided to hide behind its two siblings, just to confuse us.
