HAPPY NEW WEEK!!!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Seems like a lot of folks on this thread have been facing adversity of one kind or another. Sending you all best wishes and good energy.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
OG: How odd. I'm baffled.
Heather: Oh dear, now I feel inadequate as I don't compost.... :-)
HEATHER - we do compost mowings, but very carefully, well mixed with garden and household veg trimmings, as well as our shredded paper - and we do use a compost accelerator (or sometimes Rock Dust), but don't use the resulting compost for two years.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
ANNETTE Wasn't it someone on this site (who suffered from depression) whose GP recommended she didn't watch the news anymore. I agree, if you are feeling down, watching the news certainly doesn't help.

Annette - The beach is 90 something miles from here - just under 2 hours by road. Or 100 yards, or 40 seconds from our caravan! :-)
So don't compost or have an indoor waste bin as I now live with Daisy the Dyson:-)
I ignore news as life is too short to be depressed... There again I have sometimes been treated for such. It was more like stress related bullying at work really.
House up to a good standard as youngest arrives Wednesday for 12 days. Both myself and Daisy will enjoy her company.
We have a visiting Roe deer which peers over fence ignores Daisy and she ignores it.
HEATHER. I got a courgette from the veggie box yesterday and it had to be thrown out. I can't remember why I got it in the first place as we are mainly eating salads at the mo.
Enjoyed another swim this morning. Tomorrow Benson and I will be having a long walk with a friend and her 2 dogs (Hippo and Alfie) We know Benson prefers it when both of us go for a walk with him. This morning it was just me and he needed a lot of persuasion to get him to the woods.... then he was fine. This afternoon he was playing in the garden with his favourite toy, OH just mentioned the word CAR and he dropped his toy and was at the front door like a shot. We all enjoyed our walk at the canal.
LINDY keep those pics coming, they are so good.
HEATHER fingers crossed for your SIL.
LINDY I find little gem lettuce good value and quite long lasting. One tip for lasting lettuce is not to cut the leaves but to tear them instead. This prevents brown edges which leads to wilting.
ANNETTE What a shame about the bear. I hate to see any wildlife killed on the roads, no matter how large (deer) or small (hedgehogs.
