A day of relative plenty - of intrusions, of fish (none left over) and of aggression - from Osplet #1, against whoever got in its way ;-)
An early flyabout:
Dodgy landing:
Watchful:
I can't post snaps unless they're the full 550 size :-/

IMAGICAT
Hi, Noc! I think he eventually will....unless Big One is female and Little One male. They are both clearly doing well.
I saw a beautiful oystercatcher near Gate 1 of the Port of Felixstowe yesterday - sadly I didn't have my camera with me!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
See you all later!
Beautiful noisy oystercatchers! :-) I saw 2 the other day, minding their own business, always with their beak down looking for food.
Tiger's Osprey News
Good morning all. Thank you Scylla for starting the day and your usual lovely overnight posts. Good to see that Odin brought a fish early and the chicks have already had a couple of feeds. The fish tail is still on the back of the nest.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
EJ's up and starting a feed from the fish tail
#1 has turned away full. #2 manages an odd bite, so EJ can eat.
After #1 turned around for another bite, it was a struggle.
Feed over. There's a tiny scrap of fish left
EJ cleans up and settles down. It looks misty and chilly this morning.
Good morning. Thank you all for the early morning reports. Good to see there has already been a fish and a substantial feed.
#1 doesn't want to be covered by mum
Oh yes she does, back under
EJ's up and feeding the fish tail to #1
#1 is full and #2 takes up the call
That stirs #1 back into action
Fish is gone.
