A hurried new DU, due to internet outage and another mysterious tech prob.
Yesterday was a good, routine day. Odin got us a bit confused as to whether he was bringing fish or bringing back fish - but fish a-plenty there was, sufficient to well-feed both chicks, so we won't complain.
EJ has been restless! Lots of digging underneath, head-whirling, looking this way and that. She seems fairly settled now, awake.

Good morning, all! How nice to bring up the live stream today and find the whole family on the nest, complete with a big fish:
Both chicks are certainly looking bigger - it will be some weeks before Little One catches up with its sibling.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
EJ has moved round to get to Little One:
The feed is over:
Morning Clare and Patily :) I think the big difference in size is due not only to their age, but their sex too. I'd bet that #1 is female and #2 male.
EJ cleans up the dropped gibblets and settles down, even though the chicks would have eaten more, especially #2 who had a moderate meal from what I could see, but he was blocked from view for most of the feed.

EJ takes a break.....and back.
Operation Osprey (9 hours ago)
A busy day for Odin with two hungry mouths to feed and a demanding EJ. A quick nap in the sun this afternoon on the camera tree was just the tonic!
and here are those hungry mouths
Odin's back with the (considerably smaller sized) fish
#2 intercepts the first bite :)
he's getting a good feed
the stream is so juddery, i'll go back and see what I can find frame by frame after the meal is over.
EDIT. Just a couple of snaps. He had a really good feed.
Odin has flown
The meal is over. Not much fish left now.
Good morning all. Nice to see that both chicks have been fed. Thank you for all the early reports and photos. Interesting speculation as to the sex of the youngsters Moffer. I bet you are correct. We will see.
