Hi everyone,
What a day, still too windy to have them ringed and tagged so we wait to see whether they will do it today
I think a total of 5 fish were delivered over the course of the day. Exercising, eating, sleeping, just what teenagers get up to really. Lots of nice pics posted during the course of the day.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning, night, night.

Well, isn't that the reaction they want from the chicks so they can be bagged safely? If intruders are unsettling the birds so much the ringers can't approach them, the situation is NOT going to improve with waiting. there will be more intruders as time goes on, and the birds are going to be more likely to fledge prematurely than 'play dead' in the nest.
Smiles, Jan.
Good Nite, Annette :)

EJ arrives soon followed by Odin with the first fish of the day.
One of the chicks has the fish, which seems to still have the head intact and the chick is having difficulty breaking through. EJ has left.
Looks to me that another of the youngsters got the fish now?
Chick still has fish but other two on either side of it begging for a share. One of the other chicks is trying to eat the tail but fails.
Chick with fish just walks away and leaves it for #1 ? to have a go.
No wind up here in Speyside today, is today the day?
If they don't want to do it in the rain, Stan, they will have to start soon or leave it 'till late afternoon/ evening.
These chicks are so polite. Two are sharing the fish. Left to one now. Rather confusing to work out who has / has not had any fish.
