Hi, Its been a quiet sort of day if you don't count the wind which has been ferocious sounding at times, its the mike that picks it up.
Only 3 fish delivered all day, this no doubt due to the weather. but having said that the young ospreys have been well provided for over the last few weeks so a day without much probably won't harm them and in fact lett all that fat on them dissipate a bit, hmmmmm.
Seriously though, lets hope the weather is better today so that the ringing and tagging can take place which is scheduled for 8pm tonight.
The bairns are close together, some fidgiting going on and looking around but on the whole they are keeping their heads down with this wind.
Happy viewing everybody, see you in the morning, night, night.

Thanks for starting the thread Lynette. The wind still sounds quite strong at LG, so hopefully it'll have calmed down by the evening, so the chicks can get ringed and blinged. I can't wait to find out what gender(s) they are and what names they're given.
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
All quiet but windy on the nest. Three snoozing.
Three resting. No, as I tune in, two get up, stretching, preening. Still windy.
I'm exhausted. One GEM has performed such a long prolonged flapping session. By the time I've typed this, LOL, s/he has flopped down on the nest. ha ha ha.
That wind is getting worse. Sounds really scary. Please kids, stay low.
Hey folks: Doesn't seem too windy right now. All quiet on the nest. May have to go pick up a friend from the local airport around 10 p.m. our time so may disappear. Also out early in the morning again.
Calmer. Radio Chaffinch. Other pair of GEMs now wingercising. That's not rain, surely?
Good afternoon Annette. They've settled down again. I think they need guy ropes. Or parachutes. Could LG team add backpacks with 'chutes maybe.
Hey AQ: Am picking up friend from airport at 10 so can't watch much longer and then have to be up early tomorrow.
Apparently, folks are expecting the LOTL chicks to fledge as early as tomorrow? Hope I don't miss it.....
One has been flapping. Getting very close to edge of nest. Out of view of camera on left. Phew! I can see tips of feathers. Get back in centre, mate, or I can hardly bear to watch.
