Hi everyone,
Well its been a day of exercising, fish bringing, and generally ospreys being ospreys. The weather could be a bit better though. Very windy again and it did rain yesterday, more in the evening than daytime.
The young ones keep getting up for a stretch and a mouch, but generally are keeping low because of the wind. EJ is probably in her tree.
Happy viewing and see you in the morning. Night, night.

patriciat: Perhaps the air is now blue! as well as your poor leg!
All youngsters now lying down to keep out of the wind, Barbara Jean. EJ positioned at the rear of the nest, looking hassled by the wind, which is stronger if anything this morning - def. no 'Ring & Bling' today!
--I am off to shower and dress, been too busy on here to get started this morning!
All three chicks still huddled together, whilst EJ stands keeping watch.

Hi everyone, just logged on to find that the weather is atrocious again. As everyone has said,, not much chance of ringing and tagging today unless a miracle occurs and the weather breaks.
EJ cowering a bit out of the wind and the three young ones are also flat in the nest.
I got the Webcan back--Thanks

Morning all and thanks for all the overnight and early morning reports. Windy again now although it was more calm earlier. I really thought it would go ahead today. I expect we will see more flapping and jumping today. Lets hope there is no early fledge as at Tweed Valley.

What happened at Tweed Valley? Did they plan to ring their chicks and missed the opportunity?

Lindybird Ha ha! - you could be right. I was sure I was missing the 'removal' of the GEMs.
Barbara Jean: Alan told us the other day that one of the Tweed Valley chicks fledged before the ringing day - think it was at 48 days old!!
