Hi everyone.
Can't believe how fast this evening has flown in. Well yestarday was an exciting day with fish deliveries in the wind, intruders being swiftly dealt with, and the youngsters getting closer to making their first flight. Especially when one levetated several inches above the nest. Wonderful stuff. Can't wait to see what tommorrow brings. :-)

Another fish from Odin, and it's not yet half-time!

Been thinking the same DjoanS. there was a lot of jumping about the nest and hovering earlier.

Saw & heard the second fish arrive at 19.47, but I was blathering away on the Weekly Chat at the time. That's now 7 fish today, 6 from Odin and one from EJ (although some of them were a bit on the small side, but well done, Odin, anyway!)
EJ has now left the nest.. doubt she's gone fishing; probably sitting in a tree
Ah ... I see Odin was a bit premature with the half-time fish ... in fact a lot premature!

I have a picture hanging at home, taken inside Corrour Bothy in the Lairg Grhu, with the fire blazing, toasting our wet red climbing socks. I tried to get an artist to do a painting of the subject, but she never came up with the goods.

The weather forecast is not good for tomorrow despite the team hopeing for a window in the weather tomorrow. Rain and very windy forecast for Northern Scotland so I expect LG will be hit as it is now.
The three are huddled together with EJ off the nest.

One of the youngsters has just got up and had some wing exercise but has decided to sit down on the nest again, thank goodness. It was trying to jump up as well at the same time and with this wind, oh dear!!
Two of the youngsters are having a preen, one is staying down in the nest. All settling down again. Its getting used to this weather - I bet they'll be glad when they reach Africa, a lot warmer.
