Hi everyone.
Can't believe how fast this evening has flown in. Well yestarday was an exciting day with fish deliveries in the wind, intruders being swiftly dealt with, and the youngsters getting closer to making their first flight. Especially when one levetated several inches above the nest. Wonderful stuff. Can't wait to see what tommorrow brings. :-)

Mum is back and the three are up and about. Exercising their wings and trying to move the furniture.

EJ with the wind in her 'hair' at the side of the nest again- a picture of contentment
Good morning Lindybird lovely pic of a very contented family. Not much room on the nest now for EJ and the kids get in the way when she takes it into her head to do housework. Have to laugh when the largest one has some wing exercise, say the other 2 being hit round the head as it did it.

morning all:)
Thanks for all the great reports/pictures. Love that one of the chick and EJ standing together.
All quiet at the moment, not much happening
As Gary says, all quiet at present - EJ enjoying her 'chicks' before they grow up and leave home - boo hoo!
--when they come back with their 'ring & bling' soon, it won't be the same, as each will have a name and more of a personality.
Afternoon Linda, spoken like a true mum:)) lol
I've missed so much recently (don't talk to me about it..) but can someone let me know what GEM means when talking about the "chicks"? Thanks
Hi Gary - GEM was a term coined by Linda .... Giant Eating Machines :-)

Bit of wing exercising going on. EJ has just left the nest again. #1 I think is right on the edge but has decided to come down, whew............
Hi Gary: I see from DjoanS ' reply above (thanks) that she has explained the term GEM's- we were debating new names to call them when they suddenly seemed to grow so large, as 'chicks' didn't seem appropriate any more! - we also came up with 'youngsters' or 'juveniles'... suit yourself or think of another if you like! ; - )
gosh, Lynette, its a bit scary watching them practice.....
I wonder if Odin is near at the moment as EJ is calling, perhaps a fish delivery soon.
