Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

3 Babes in the Wood alone on the nest again. Can hear a ghostly rattling somewhere... its that tinny sound again.
Very quiet on the nest all 3 youngsters laying down, 2 facing one way and the other facing the other way. What gorgeous colours they are in the setting sun.
Margobird
Lindybird you are right about Babes in the Wood. They are so well behaved at the moment. Loved it when one of them spread it's wing over a sibling. EJ seems to have flown off again not sure if she has brought any fish in today although I may have forgotten. Such a lot of postings I find it hard to keep up at the moment.
Going to say goodnight all now as OH will be back with shopping to put away. Have a good evening.

Thanks for that, jsb. We may have to wait until then, then. :-(
Thanks jsb - I saw that too. I was surprised to read that because from Wednesday onwards it looks even windier than today.
EJ brings in a nice big fish
Fish ... I think it was EJ because I didn't hear any fuss ... and the young ones are just getting up now!

Glad the young ones are getting an evening snack, with vocal accoompaniment from Radio Chaffinch.
Only two feeding, the other preening... and flapping. They look gorgeous in the evening sunshine!
