Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Hi there, Heron. I read somewhere that they can't sell postcards and such due to the illegality of photographing the birds, but, since they are licensed to film them, I think many captures from video would be good enough for real Opsprey fans!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
EJ back already still waiting for Odin.

Wonder whether EJ has gone fishing??
EJ has left the nest again perhaps she came back before to see if Odin had delivered.
That looks like Odin with a large stick, that has just flown in, not EJ. He's not quite sure what to do.
EJ is a proper fidget bum she is now wants to get where the youngsters are and has disturbed them all doing her housework, shifting a big stick about.
One of the youngsters has got hold of the stick and is moving it to where Odin has put some moss. Or is it EJ.
EJ back with a stick
EJ and a chick are moving it together ... how lovely

EJ's just flown off, and the youngsters wonder weather she'll return with a fish, or a stick. Isn't it brilliant how Ospreys teach their young, using the "fish & stick" method. And now she's returned and EJ and one of the chicks have just moved a huge piece of furniture.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Sorry, it is EJ, got confused for a moment then.
