Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

If it is the ringers, I wish they would hurry up. She will have no voice left!

i think that was just the wind blowing the wood around the microphone...
i'm sure if there was some human element, EJ would have flown off - that what they say she does
Poor EJ! She's torn between sounding the alarm and tucking into that lovely juicy whopper of a fish - which she is now feeding at double quick speed to one of the chicks.
2 of the chicks being fed by EJ, the other eating the left overs of Odin's fish by itself
i think i just heard Odin calling from nearby
Drat, I've gotta head to the kitchen. It has been thrilling to watch all three feasting . . . but a teeny bit sad as all too soon they will be flying south. Keep up the reports & pics, folks, and thank you.
Odin is definitly around Alarm calling as well...
you can hear his shrill call in the audio
EJ is frantically alarm calling and manteling while #1 calmly goes about eating and the other two chicks are waiting for the rest of breakfast . The only one upset is EJ

Alarm calling and mantling has been going on since 8.50 am. About half an hour so far. Could be the ringing team which she spotted in the distance. Ospreys do have amazing eyesight after all. Getting more agitated now.
Poor EJ is going to be hoarse by the time she's finished screeching
