Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

this is wonderful; all three chicks are eating without EJ's help...
she's mantling - must be an intruder about
Thanks for that info Brenda H

EJ calling and mantling. Chick at back of nest abandons its fish and cowers down. EJ moves to stand on that fish. Titch had just started on the other fish. S/he cowers then hunger takes over. EJ continues to screech & mantle.
there's some prolonged mantling from EJ..
i wonder...
i'm definiely hearing some weird noises on the microphone
EJ patiently waits to retrieve her fish. She did make an attempt earlier but chick was not letting go.
Look at the size of that fish that EJ has, and two young ones dont seem that bothered. No # I doing a great job with his/her fish. have missed last evenings viewing and early this AM. Obviously no hungry chicks today.
EJ alarm calling, maybe it is the ringing. Two of the chicks are still eating.

EJ very agitated and intruder alert has persuaded the chicks to abandon feeding. She is looking up most of the time so don't think its an LG team member from below!
She seems more interested in safeguarding the fish than the chicks!
Chicks now ignoring her and trying to tuck into food.
That is a very persistent intruder! Its been lovely to see all three young ones feeding themselves this morning. Perhaps this is when we will start to see some 'in-fighting' over the fish deliveries.
That is a very persistent intruder. EJ is still screeching.
