Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

Today's weather forecast, sun light showers and wind gusts of 35mph. Not the best for ringing, but later in the week, not the best either. Thursday dry, but windier.

What happened here? ... I looked a few minutes ago and there were 3 snoozing young ones ... now two appear to be eating by themselves!

The chick at the back seems to have an EJ sized fish!
Casserole in oven and time for another peek at nest. Looks like 2 fish on nest. Two GEMs eating, one at back of nest has a big one. Maybe brought in by EJ who has returned? Third chick just mooching around, looking hopefully at sibling on right.
DjoanS, EJ brought in the second fish, which was taken from her as she landed.
i have a feeling EJ and Odin bouth brough fish back...
there definetly 2 different fish being eating. i don't tihnk even EJ can cut a fish in half
Looks like the third chick is trying to start at the other end of the large fish! ... oh ... its given up.
