Happy Independence Day America. (hope I've got my history right)
It was a very gusty day at LG. What with EJ having difficulty landing earlier on that day and trying to keep on the nest when she was there. Lots of wing flapping exercises, one nearly took off but not quite. To top it all it started to rain.
EJ is right on the edge of the nest and has now taken off , probably going to her roost tree. Earlier she brought in a very large trout and just before that Odin had brought in a fish and left it for the youngsters. One did try to feed itself and then when mum came back with hers, abandoned it and went to mum for a feed. In all an entertaining day watching these incredible birds.
Happy viewing and we'll see what today brings. Night, night.

Hello - that's Odin with a fish!
He landed on the nest with a loud chirp! All the GEM's looked surprised, and then EJ appeared as if she had only just noticed what was happening.... now the 3 Big Babies are tucking in.
He's not making much effort to feed the chicks with EJ away - I think he'd like to eat it himsefl. Don't blame him
young Osps soliciting but they don't like standing up in this gale

Where's EJ ????????????????????/
It's Odin eating the fish !
C'mon Dad, share the fish!
am i right in thinking Odin has come in with a fish EJ is away, he is not feeding the chicks so they have given up and he is eating it himself? xx
Yes, ghengis
one of the chicks seems to be getting a bit, although he has to almost take it out of Odin's beak
I've a feeling that this the tail end of the fish that he must have had a while back (when EJ was calling him to share it). EJ got so fed up that he wasn't bringing it to the nest so now she's gone to get her own.
he is feeding one of them now! (or should that be he is having the fish stolen out of his beak!) xx
