Hi everyone, not seen much of the action yesterday as I have been on and off the computer. Believe it had its moments though.
All quiet as all three GEM's are sleeping and EJ must be roosting in a tree nearbye.
Not sure what the weather is doing, it sounded like a shower earlier.
Happy viewing, see you all in the morning.

Gosh what have I been missing since I last looked ... 2 Odin deliveries and one from EJ ... if I've read correctly ... the football match definitely wasn't worth watching :-(
At least I get to see one young one feeding itself quite efficiently ... don't know which one though. Amazing how quickly they learn!

Cirrus you were right. Odin brought the fish the chick was eating and THEN EJ brought the fish that they are eating now. The remains of Odin's fish is on the right side of the nest. I guess #1 is saving it for later :)
That makes it 6 fish today

Evening all
Just home and logged on , So the tagging will take place on Monday, weather permitting. Can't believe its that time already. Hope it all goes well. I've said before, sorry to bore , how quick this season seems to have been ,The wing flapping seems to be getting much more powerful and vigorous and I don't think its going to be too many days until they are off the nest for a good few seconds at a time and 'flying' from one end of the nest to the other. Its such an entertainment. Unfortunately all too soon EJ and Odin will be calling to them from adjacent trees and encouraging them to leave the nest and we'll, hopefully, see them fledge
One of them, no idea which one, is tucking in on its own quite the thing. Amazing

Cirrus. Just to clear things up. The fish that one of the youngsters was eating by itself was brought in by Odin. EJ brought a fish a few minutes later and the self feeding younster abandoned it to join in with its siblings, feeding from their mum. And now we have two fish on the nest being eaten at the same time. :-)

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Phew. thanks for sorting me out BarbaraJean - I am just so thrilled to see this young Osprey tackle a fish like EJ or Odin. Just great.
OK Heron - that's quite clear now. Thank you.

That's right BJ, and now one of them (sorry, don't know which, but it isn't the one that was feeding itself earlier) is scoffing Odin's fish.
Wow ... its really something to see that young one eating the fish .... quite the expert .... fantastic to watch
So, BarbaraJean- this is Edlest eating by her/his self? Would you agree? It's amazing to watch, isn't it.
I think the first one was #2, and the one eating by itself now is #1 (and also doing it really well - got the head twist movement to tear at the fish really well):
