Daily Update (LG Nest) Friday 2nd July

Dont know how to post on here without clicking on a reply. Many thanks to all the wonderful people who keep people like me informed. Odin just arrived with good sized fish 11.28. He continues to excell as a provider. Long may he reign.

All feeding in the usual 3-in-a-line formation! I didn't see what size the fish was ... EJ grabbed it before I got a look :-)

EDIT - it was obviously fairly small as it is finished!

Looks very crowded on the nest now with all four sitting there - and as typed EJ thought so too and flew off.

It was aweful last night, the site seemed to have crashed and thought oh dear will we ever be able to get back on, but yes, this morning all was fine.  Great pics as usual Joan.

The young one nearest the camera is shouting its head off, the other two staying low with this wind. Has it seen something over the nest or just cross.

All quiet now and resting.

Rats! my broadband has been down all morning. Just back up. Hello everyone - have not looked back for Lindy's fish report but thought you might like to know the following since the site was down yesterday. This is how the fishing 'ended' for yesterday.

22.38 EJ has just landed on the nest with a live large flapping fish. It must be raining or she dived deep as she is shaking her feathers to dry them out. Oops chick just stood up under EJ's tail and nearly tipped her over. There are definitely getting to be too many long wings on the nest, they are always knocking each other.

Night camera has just come on and EJ is serving the fish to 2 chicks that are interested the 3rd is wing flapping, practising taking off next to the guard rail.

Yes Lorraine, I make it 7 too, with 2 of those from EJ.  (but then the fish at  22.38!)

New RSPB Blog giving all the fish details. I'm amazed that they can see the size of all of them - the birds are usually in the way!! And I was right in what I said about EJ's first two fish yesterday - the first was 15" and the second was 12", compared with 18" for her previous two!!
