Hi everyone, last day of June already. I have just been looking at my pics of when they were first born backend of May, from three tinies to three huge young ospreys, the rate of growth in a month seems phenomenal.
Anyhow on to yesterday, A more or less routine day with the three getting up to their usual antics and EJ keeping a motherly eye on them most of the time. She did leave the nest on occasions for longer periods, one to go fishing and bring back a whopper, round about teatime this was.
All three are resting with fidgiting and wing stretching inbetween. EJ must be on her roost tree nearbye as she isn't on the nest.
I am signing off now, see you in the morning. Happy viewing.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Well, that was an interesting lesson young ones. Has it all gone by the one nearest the cam. Its certainly hogging it. Looks like Titch to me but it could be #2. One is watching what the other is doing with great interest whilst #1 I think is exercising and jumping about.
The one hogging the fish has just exercised its wings, the other two are sitting down. Now what shall we do after all that excitement
Thanks Lindybird - I didn't hear you !!!!

I wonder if the fish is finished or if there is still some left .... they keep looking down where it was!
EDIT - my question is answered ... another young one has picked it up and is having a go
Yes, that's what I thought DJoan S. its gone to italic, must have pressed a wrong button somewhere.
Its still at it, at least its a lesson learned or sorts. What to do when a fish lands on your table and no-one to give it to you.
Oh! its been such fun watching - but I am multi tasking - cooking for an early meal and watching Murray in the tennis at the same time!
They keep going back to it, to have another go....
Things have calmed down now and they are resting. Wind seems to have got up.
Have to go and get dinner, and out later, so will catch up tonight.
Have been out, to take OH to Bowling Club - trying to still keep up with here, and Murray's match is not easy!
Last pic for today:
- they were still trying to get some fish, at 6.00pm. Now all quiet again, waiting for Mum to come back...
Here is the Teatime Fish List, for today:
1st fish: 5.13am, then 6.33am, 11.40am, and just now presumably Odin, at 17.16 (ish)
- 4 Fish in all, so far today.
