Hi everyone, last day of June already. I have just been looking at my pics of when they were first born backend of May, from three tinies to three huge young ospreys, the rate of growth in a month seems phenomenal.
Anyhow on to yesterday, A more or less routine day with the three getting up to their usual antics and EJ keeping a motherly eye on them most of the time. She did leave the nest on occasions for longer periods, one to go fishing and bring back a whopper, round about teatime this was.
All three are resting with fidgiting and wing stretching inbetween. EJ must be on her roost tree nearbye as she isn't on the nest.
I am signing off now, see you in the morning. Happy viewing.

GEM's having a sleep and trying to be invisible to the naked eye....
back from the dentist and shopping. Just caught up with posts and pics. Lindybird and DJoan S great captures , have saved a couple. I was looking at the early pics I saved when two of the chicks had hatchedm my what tiny, tiny , bundles of fluff they were compared to today. They are great big young ospreys.
All quiet on the nest, EJ is away, and the three are resting.
Is it me or has the picture gone dark, don't think its because of the sun. Anyone else getting a dark picuture up
Yes, its gone dark Lynette - don't know if its because the sky has clouded over or something, can't see much sky.
--EJ just returned as I typed - she brought some bark with her.
EJ back briefly but Yongest made her hunger known so loudly she flew off again. Whether to fish or ... no, she's back with a moss stick and Youngest is complaining of hunger again.. EJ gone again and me off to work very shortly. So grateful to you all for the great posts and super pics.
One of the youngsters is shouting and mum has just flown off. Hey, wher've you gone mum!!
One decides to exercise those enormous wings and encroaches on anothers space. An argument ensuses but is soon over.
Oh well, I'll have a preen and mouch around instead. Think its Titch shouting. Oooh I've got an itch!!
All quiet on the Western Front again.
Hi Cirrus - 'see' you later, have a good evening.
"All quiet on the Western Front" - hav'nt heard that one for a long time, Lynette!
Has EJ left them a fish to fight over, it certainly looks like it. The lessons are beginning, who is going to take first cut??
I just heard excitement and came back to find 3 Babies on the nest - with a fish! Odin must have left one!
--they are milling about, shouting and trying to peck at the fish - they are not sure what to do!
